While I have experience working with a wide range of psychological issues and treatment approaches, I have particular experience and expertise in the following areas:

--    Anxiety and PTSD

--   Depressive disorders

--   Epilepsy and seizure disorders

--   Conversion disorders

--   Adjustment disorders

--   Psychodynamic psychotherapy

--    Evidence-based psychotherapies

--   Mindfulness and wellness approaches

Background: After graduating with highest honors from the University of California at Berkeley with a double Bachelor's degree in Psychology and English, I received my doctorate in Clinical Psychology from UCLA. At UCLA, I was fortunate to have trained with exceptional clinicians and researchers in a comprehensive clinical training program. Following graduation, I completed my clinical internship and post-doctoral training (specializing in trauma) at the San Francisco VA Medical Center, where I developed my approach to psychotherapy, specializing in both long-term psychodynamic and shorter-term sklls-focused therapies. Through my training and professional career at VA hospitals, state hospitals, university counseling centers, and private practice, I have worked extensively with wide range of mental health issues and have expertise in a variety of treatment approaches.

Approach: My approach to therapy is supportive, collaborative, and empowering. I believe that all individuals have the capacity to self-actualize and reach their goals with guidance, support, and care. I also highly emphasize communication in any relationship, particularly that between the therapist and client.
